Hi, My name is: Janice.This may be a horrible waste of cyberspace. I've discovered that people judge and those who are judged can be very captivating and interesting if you get past the stereotype given to them. I hope that you enjoy my page and that you are not completely bored by it. In this page i'm discussing certain types of religion (mainly Wicca) and stereotypes given. As the daughter of a minister I guess I feel some obligation to tell people. The Christian religions in all their arrogance, judge other religions and people for what they think they are. (don't get me wrong, I am not stereotyping all Christians.) I've put up with this type of behaviour all of my life and always been judged and repremanded for what I believe and who I am. (I'm not Wiccan, I'm Agnostic.) I'm going to try to explain as best I can from the knowledge that I have acquired and the research I've done.Please e-mail me with any questions that you may have. Paganism (Witchcraft)

It has been believed for long periods of time that paganism is linked with the Devil. Witchcraft is the major pagan religion that is given this stereotype. I sort of felt an obligation to try and set people straight. I am not a witch, however I am friends with many and I've done alot of research on the subject. I have devoted much of my time to studying other religions for the sake of knowledge and teaching. Witchcraft (Wicca) is one of the most responsible and peaceful religions that I've encountered. The belief system of the witch is based on the golden rule.... Do unto others as you'd have them do to you. I think this is a very good life policy and very responsible.....they see life as a cycle and whatever you put out you recieve times three...so this religion demands responsibility. **I would also like to make note that witchcraft IS a religion. Magick is practiced by many witches, but you do not have to practice Magick to be a witch. Magick is practiced for positive purposes such as : Physical and spiritual development, healing, understanding nature or for the purpose of bettering yourself. Witches don't believe in the concept of evil. They do not believe in an evil entity such as Satan, nor do they believe in Hell. Many times Witchcraft is mistaken with parts of Satanism....I would like to make clear that these are two completely different religions. Wicca is a very peaceful religion....focused on nature and the god(s) or goddess(es). Witches believe in a supreme entity or entities. Paganism is an alternative religion.....no less "holy" than any other. The abuses of witches over the years is phenomenal and very disturbing. The ignorant thought that they are evil cost people their lives.

I am Agnostic and I am here to offend no one.I am trying to educate people. Many people are raised or taught something by their parents and thereby pass it on to their children and no matter how absurd the claim, it is thought by those people to be true. People are, always have been, and always will be afraid of the unknown. I personally don't believe in Satan, Hell, or Heaven. I feel that everyone has a right to their beliefs and should not be shunned or made fun of for it. I truly believe that we are all equal.
